It’s been over a decade since I began supporting people with their mental health and wellbeing. Through my work as a corporate trainer, coach, nutritional therapist and yoga teacher, I’ve seen how lack of connection and belonging sit at the heart of many challenges professional women face.
My expertise encompasses positive psychology, mental health first aid, nutritional therapy, social connection, stress and resilience, coaching and yoga — all of which inform how I support women to feel better and live more connected lives.
As a loneliness coach, women come to me because something isn’t working in their personal or professional relationships and they want support that’s practical and evidence based.

My interest in loneliness and social connection is personal as well as professional. Applying this work to my own life has been genuinely changing.
Behaviours like poor boundaries, people-pleasing and putting everyone else's needs above my own were rooted in seeking acceptance and avoiding rejection, both of which link back to loneliness.
It's made me interested in the questions most people don't ask. Why women's loneliness and men's loneliness are not the same problem. Why being useful isn't the same as being connected. How women are so often taught to make themselves useful long before they are taught to understand their own needs.
These are the conversations I want to have, and they shape how I work. Loneliness isn't a personal failing. It's a signal that your need for closeness, understanding or belonging isn't being met, and that can change.

Esther has delivered two sessions so far for us on mental health and wellbeing. The most recent session focussed on managing stress, covering the things that stress you and others, plus helpful and unhelpful ways of coping with stress. It was practical, accessible, enlightening and all the all the better for being delivered from a place of lived experience. We received excellent feedback from our deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent trainees and will be using Esther again.

The group coaching programme was so valuable on many levels, and Esther was a really supportive, calming practitioner, she fostered an inclusive, respectful talking space. I learnt so much about authenticity, the different kinds of support needed in relationships, and how to identify my emotions and handle them with care, and how all of that feeds into our feelings of connection and belonging. I would definitely recommend this programme!

Esther’s delivery of a Mental Health First Aid Refresher course was both friendly and professional. She was very welcoming and ensured we all knew what the expectations were of us, from the beginning. Esther is clearly passionate about mental health and wellbeing and really knew her stuff! She has a very down-to-earth and calming manner about her and she ensured we all had the chance to interact and ask questions throughout the course. I really valued the group discussions we had and the opportunities to share experiences and receive sound advice from an expert in the field, like Esther. I came away from the course with renewed confidence and am really pleased I chose Esther to deliver the refresher course - thank you!

I just completed my MHFA Refresher course with Esther and I'm so glad I did it. Esther is a great instructor; she's knowledgeable and inclusive, giving everyone the space to think and also the opportunity to talk. I thoroughly enjoyed it and took a lot away from it which I'll use in the future. Thank you again.

Many thanks for leading the refresher course - it was really helpful, I appreciated your connection with the group and ensuring every one had opportunity to contribute. I valued the space to think and apply to realistic example situations. Thank you for adapting how the content was used to suit the group so we benefited from the time in a way that suited the group.

Thank you very much Esther, it was a pleasure being on your course. You made it very engaging and enjoyable. The course pace was just right. The refresher has surely given me restored confidence to enable me to identify and support friends, work colleagues who may need support in the moment.
Thank you again.

Thank you again for such a great training session yesterday. I really enjoyed it and found it inspiring. I thought the size of the group enabled everyone to be involved in the conversation and thought that your ability to keep us all on track but also allowing time for people to share, ask questions, discuss themes etc was brilliant! I certainly came away feeling more confident about how to make the initial approach to someone and also how to not let my own terms of reference get in the mix.

Just to say thank you very much for a wonderful MHFA Refresher course – it was delivered excellently; very thought provoking, interesting and enjoyable. I felt at ease and safe to share my own experiences and to ask questions. I learnt new elements during the refresher course which will enable me to look after my own health whilst having the confidence to support and provide mental health first aid to others. Thank you Esther.

Esther delivered a course with a difficult subject matter in a sensitive and engaging way. I am used to normally tuning out somewhat during training courses (especially remote) I attend for work but in this instance, I was fully engaged the whole time. Would absolutely recommend her as a trainer.

I am grateful for this opportunity to have joined this group. It gave me a deeper insight and understanding of what authenticity really means and what the components of good relationships are. How to have good relationships, maintain and stop them when they are no longer aligned with our needs and authentic self.
